About Us

Dimitrios Furs (a Division of East End Furs) is owned and operated by expert furrier Dimitri Lettas, whose lineage as a furrier stretches back three generations. Since 1990, East End Furs (now Dimitrios Furs) has been located on historic North Country Road in St. James, New York. Dimitri and son Michael, provide a full range of services that include: designing, manufacturing, restyling, cleaning and temperature-controlled fur storage.

Besides offering ready-made furs and leathers, Dimitrios Furs can custom design and manufacture any coat you want, as well as taking your old fur and restyling it into a modern creation. Dimitrios’ 30 years experience, which started when he was a young boy in Greece, has made him a master furrier.

Today, fur is not what it used to be - we now have knitted fur, fur mixed with a variety of materials like leather and cashmere and as trimming on today‘s trendiest garments. Fur has come a long way in it’s use and application.

Dimitrios Furs encourages you to clean and store your coats annually as this will prolong the life of your fur and and protect it from deterioration.

DIRECTIONS: From Points West: Take the Long Island Expressway to the Northern State Parkway (NSP) (or Grand Central Pkwy to NSP). Take the NSP to the end where it becomes Routes 347/454 and stay on Rt. 347 until you come to the Route 111 turnoff. Take Route 111 NORTH until it turns into Route 25A , keep continuing straight on Route 25A (do not make any turns) and we are about 1-1/2 miles down on Route 25A on the left. Turn into the 7-11 parking lot and we are the first store next to 7-11.

FROM POINTS EAST: Take the Long Island Expressway to Nichols Road North. Continue down until you reach route 347 and make a left. Take Rt. 347 to Jericho Turnpike (Route 25) and make a right. Take Jericho Turnpike down to Route 25A (the Smithtown Library is on the right side) and make a right onto 25A and take that down 1-1/2 miles. Continue directions above to 7-11.
